The Second Conditional is similar to the first conditional. That is to say, it also has its connection with the future, but since the condition is unreal, the expected result is somewhat a dream. For instance, it is like not having a lottery ticket and looking forward to winning it. So, rember that in these conditions we use the past simple to express the hypothetical condition.
